It’s important for small businesses and startups to focus on branding and marketing even if they are on a shoestring budget because it will expand their business to reach its target market across a large spectrum. Branding and marketing can be done via website, social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, and the development of a blog website.  All these elements are FREE, but do take the time to create, and must be managed periodically.  Overall, the cost-effective method of branding and marketing is word of mouth and referrals, which can increase via social media.
